211/365 - Towing the Ferrari

February 27, 2014. I wondered if I was witnessing a luxury repo when a Ferrari with its alarm sounding came down Wabash Avenue followed by a tow truck. I came to suspect it was going for service after seeing the driver, but I guess it looks like either option is possible. After turning the corner, the car went up onto a flatbed tow truck that was sitting there and would be much kinder to the car than the traditional tow truck that had followed it down Wabash.

February 25, 2014. I live near a place that supplies mannequins and other display items to businesses. The mannequins in the window occasionally have an item of clothing on, but it's rare. This one has a hat that suggests she's ready for a safari, but I believe she needs something with pockets as well.

February 24, 2014. While waiting for a Pink Line train, I saw this graffitoed Orange Line train make a stop at Adams and Wabash.

February 23, 2014. The final day of the Winter Punk Fest in Grand Rapids was not lacking for energy. I had some doubt that we in Squared Off would be able to maintain it, but there was no letting up for us, either. Before we played, Rabbit Ain't Lucky tore the place up. Here's our guitarist Larry getting really close to the action.

February 22, 2014. Squared Off traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan for the Winter Punk Fest and had a great time playing sets both Saturday and Sunday. We also enjoyed meeting a bunch of great people, such as Jeff Baird from The Bitters, being squeezed by my bass player Matt here.

205/365 - The C-Sides

February 21, 2014. I played a show at the Cobra Lounge with Squared Off and photographed the C-Sides, who also played. Jim, on the right, lamented that his only appearance in my photo-a-day was through a car that he's working on. So here's Jim with the C-Sides, with popeyed Davey from The Hard-Onz gesturing in the background. There was no direction; this is just what happens when you point a camera at the C-Sides.
