March 20, 2014. I came outside to fresh snow on the ground, but it was warm enough that I saw no trace of it by the time I was just a couple of miles from home. There are still patches of older ice and snow to be found, but they seem to be going quickly. This man selling StreetWise in Wicker Park has a friendly greeting for as many people as it seems he can, even people in bikes.
